One of the fun things about being a Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute Alumni is that you are in an elite group of individuals with at least one thing in common: GDMLI! What better way to celebrate that then to network at alumni events! Some of our most popular events are as follows:

GDMLI Success Stories Luncheon
Success Stories is a luncheon held every March that showcases five alumni speakers. Guests join to enjoy lunch and listen to fellow GDMLI alumni speak about their road to success and how the Institute supported their goals!

Wine Tasting
Warm weather and wine…what more could a GDMLI alum need to be happy? Perhaps other alumni! Join your friends in May for an evening of music, hors d’oeuvres, wine, and networking at the Art Center!

Distinguished Leadership Awards Luncheon
A June luncheon is a great time for alumni to connect over the summer while celebrating six Greater Des Moines Community Members that have impacted our lives!

Golf Outing
Fore! You won’t want to miss this fun event! It’s not always about the score, but your foursome will have a superb time on the links while enjoying networking with other alumni and area businesses.

Holiday Social
When it’s cold and snowy in Iowa the only way to warm your soul is by connecting with old friends! The Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute gives you that opportunity at our Holiday Social in December! One of our favorite parts of this event is that it’s one of the first times the current class and the alumni connect! Eat, drink, be merry….and give back! Bring a book to donate so that area children have a bedtime story this holiday season!
