Project Overview

The Class of 2014 worked with Courage League Sports, a recreational adaptive sports facility specifically designed for children not able to go “full speed” due to disability, illness, or emotional challenges.




Highlights

Raised more than $140,000 which has fully supported the following initiatives:

Courage League Scholarship Fund:

Establishment of a Scholarship Fund to further the Courage League Sports motto of, “Every Child Deserves to Play.”

Courage League Sports Capital Improvements:

New Entry Area - with locker room and sign-in area

Parent Lounge - with new layout, coffee bar and play area 

Gymnasium - remodeled with new seating, creativity area, and new wall art

New Exergaming Technology - an interactive gaming system designed for children of all abilities


 

Keep Playing It Forward

Our progress

In the Des Moines metro area, there are 28,000 youth with special needs. Courage League Sports provides a space for these young people to play, participate and learn in a fun, friendly environment.
